Last night while lining up in the Cashier at National Bookstore in Ayala I overheard this conversation.
A little girl, maybe 4-5 years old, was in line behind me while her mom stands a few feet away carrying her younger brother in her arms.
Little girl (in her very conio speech) : hey mom, like , who covered my school stuff last year?
Mom (in her equally conio accent) : I did honey.
Little Girl : Really?! They’re really nice! I like them!
Her mom beamed with pride and people standing in the line couldn’t help but smile with this exchange between mother and daughter.
Little Girl : Did you also covered my notebooks and books this year?
Mom : Sure honey. Of course i did. (All smiles!)
Little Girl : Well…They’re ugly. I don’t like ‘em.
